In Time
For Cineplex
To promote Cineplex’s Online and Mobile Ticketing, we leaned into the benefit: skipping the unpredictability and drama of the box office lineup. In doing so, we created our own full-blown, unpredictable drama. Well, a trailer for one, at least.
It played pre-show in theatres, turning the simple act of buying tickets into its own thriller. It follows a man who invents time travel for one reason: to go back and buy his tickets online. Because when it comes to getting the seats you want, sometimes the only way forward… is to go back.
Is there any format more instantly recognizable than the movie trailer? It was so much fun leaning into this cinematic language. Collaborating with Director, David Quinn meant going all in. To create 90 seconds of drama, we wrote the entire sci-fi story behind it. Heavily influenced by The Fly, we committed to the stakes, the spectacle, and the absurdity.
